FAQ

What is the difference between cannabis, hemp and marijuana?

Cannabis and marijuana are used interchangeably to describe the plant that contains a full range of cannabinoids and terpenes. For this FAQ we will use the term cannabis. Hemp is a strain of Cannabis Sativa that contains less than 0.3% THC.

What is CBD?

CBD is short for “cannabidiol”, which is one of active molecules or cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. CBD is a non-psychoactive, naturally occurring cannabinoid that is extracted from hemp.

What is THC?

THC, short for tetrahydrocannabinol, is the primary psychoactive cannabinoid in cannabis, it is responsible for most of the plant’s psychoactive effects.

What is the difference between CBD and THC?

Both are cannabinoids that interact in unique ways with the endocannabinoid system each of us have in our bodies. THC is the main psychoactive component of the cannabis plant responsible for creating the “high” associated with cannabis use. CBD is non-psychoactive which means that it will not get the user high.

How does CBD work in my body?

Our bodies contain a network of receptors designed to accept cannabinoids, known as the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is made up of a number of CB1 and CB2 receptors that are responsible for the assimilation of cannabinoid molecules into the body, resulting in the variety of responses correlated with cannabis consumption. In general BD specifically, and  cannabinoids in general, enables the ECS to help the body return to a state of stability or homeostasis.

Is CBD natural?

Yes, CBD is a 100% naturally occurring chemical compound is extracted from hemp. It is not synthetically made.

What are the health benefits of CBD?

While there is a body of evidence to indicate the positive benefits of consuming CBD, there have not yet been FDA approved studies completed that permit medical claims to be made for CBD.

Will I get high if I use CBD?

No. CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it doesn’t have a strong effect on cognitive brain activity and doesn’t cause the “high” associated with the THC occurring in cannabis.

Will I fail a drug test if I use CBD?

Not if you use quality CBD products. The leading sports doping agency WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) permits the use of CBD. Caution should be exercised in using products that have not been tested and may have more than the 0.3% THC level in them.

How old do I need to be to purchase CBD products?

21 years old.

Are CBD products legal in all states?
